[01] STATEMENT BY MAGRIOTIS ON THE ISRAELI SUPREME COURT DECISION

Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Yiannis Magriotis expressed absolute
satisfaction regarding Israel's Supreme Court decision to reject the
appeals made against the recognition of Patriarch Erineos A' of
Jerusalem.
In a statement he made, Mr. Magriotis said that this fact is a very
positive development, which removes the last obstacle regarding the
recognition of the Patriarch of Jerusalem.
The Deputy Foreign Minister underlined the coordinated efforts made by
the Greek government and the Council for the Greeks Living Abroad, SAE,
which contributed greatly to the successful conclusion of the issue.
