[01] CHRISOCHOIDIS MET WITH THE PALESTINIAN AUTHORITY AMBASSADOR

Governing Socialist Party of PASOK Central Committee Secretary Michalis
Chrisochoidis expressed the Greek government's support to the
implementation of the road map for peace in the Middle East in the
meeting he had with Palestinian Authority ambassador Abdullah
Abdullah.
Mr. Chrisochoidis stressed that PASOK makes a special effort for the
implementation of the road map within the framework of the Socialist
International and the European Socialist Party.
Mr. Abdullah referred to the strong ties between PASOK and the
Palestinians and presented to Mr. Chrisochoidis the situation in
Palestine today. He also stressed that the present situation is crucial
and expressed the view that the Israeli government could take drastic
measures. He wished that efforts will be made for peace in the region
and around the world.
