NEWS HEADLINES[A] NATIONAL NEWS[B] INTERNATIONAL NEWS[A] NATIONAL NEWSThe views of the Ecumenical Patriarchate for the solution of the problems with the Church of Greece will be conveyed today to Archbishop Christodoulos of Athens and All of Greece by Minister of Education Marietta Giannakou within the framework of the gov ernment initiative aimed at defusing the crisis. Mrs. Giannakou appeared cautiously optimistic after the meeting she had with the Ecumenical Patriarch. Archbishop Christodoulos stated that he is hopeful that a consensus solution will be found after the meeting he had with PASOK President Giorgos Papandreou. There is absolutely no doubt that there will be European involvement in the procedures for the solution of the Cyprus problem, stated Mr. Iakovou.
