In their meeting yesterday they discussed issues concerning the European Union Balkan policy, while the issues of Cyprus' EU accession course and the Turkish bid for EU membership will be examined in the following meetings.Mr. Fischer stated that the recognition of Turkey's candidature will contribute to the improvement of the Greek-Turkish relations, while he added that the problems of a member-state are problems of the EU as a whole, stressing that the community solidarity principle is in effect.
