Traffic police in the effort to make the trip easier for the thousands of motorists has put into force emergency measures along the national road network and urge motorists not to consume alcoholic drinks, to wear seat-belts and to observe traffic regulations.Meanwhile, the Greek Railway Organization has put more trains to destinations like Thessaloniki in the north and the Peloponnese in the south in order to facilitate the travelers. Also, according to the plan, about 5.000 Turkish soldiers will remain on the island and compensation will be given to those who have lost their properties. Based on the plan, the Turkish occupied regions of Morfu and Varosia will be returned to the Greek Cypriots. Prime minister Nano, referring to the recent incidents in the town of Skoder, the riot in the Tirana prison and the destruction of the main water reservoir, indirectly blamed Mr. Berisha's party and stated that the majority of the Albanian people will not allow to thieves, murderers and fundamentalists to destroy their lives.
