In the Aegean there is nothing up for negotiation, neither gray nor any other kind of zones, stated Mr. Tsochatzopoulos.Greek undersecretary of foreign affairs Yiannos Kranidiotis, referring to the statement made by Turkish president Suleiman Demirel that Turkey has no objection to bring its case to the International Court of Justice in The Hague provided that the appeal will include the total of the problems, stated that Turkey is following an inconsistent policy. He stressed that Greece has accepted the binding jurisdiction of The Hague and called on the Turkish side to state openly the same if its intentions are honest. He stressed that Turkey has already rejected the step-by-step approach, adding that it appears to hold conflicting and inconsistent positions. Mr. Kranidiotis added that Turkish foreign minister Ismail Cem says one thing and Turkish president another, stressing that they should decide on what line they will follow.
