Athens, December 28 (MPA)
Greece's under-secretaries of foreign affairs and defence Yiannos
Kranidiotis and Dimitris Apostolakis respectively, have issued a tough
answer to the threats hurled by the President of Turkey Suleiman Demirel.
Mr. Kranidiotis said that "once again, Turkey proves that it constitutes a
factor of instability in the region." Mr. Apostolakis said that there is a
possibility of a "warm incident" erupting in the Aegean Sea and stressed
that Greece's armed forces are ready to defend the country's territorial
integrity.
[02] THE PAPANDREOU ERA WAS MORE POSITIVE ACCORDING TO POLL

The Papandreou-governed era was a more positive one for the country,
according to a recent poll published today by a Sunday paper.
Specifically, those asked responded that Mr. Papandreou's reign was a
better one than those of Mr. Karamanlis and Mr. Mitsotakis.
[03] GREECE'S DEFENSE MINISTER TRAVELS TO BOSNIA AND ALBANIA

Greece's Defence Minister Akis Tsochatzopoulos is to travel to Bosnia today
where he will meet with the Greek troops participating at the United
Nations peacekeeping force assigned in that country.
Following his stay in Sarajevo, Mr. Tsochatzopoulos will travel to Albania
where he will meet with the Greek troops assigned there within the
framework of aid that Greece is providing to Albania in this country's
reconstruction efforts.
