The prefectural authorities are on standby, since more than 200,000 square metres have been flooded. The villages of Poros, Lavara and Mandra have been evacuated, with damage standing at 7 million euros. Firefighters went door to door urging the residents of the village of Mandra to evacuate it. The stockbreeders of the area are striving to save their livestock transferring them elsewhere. However, they refuse to leave their properties. The river's overflow has flooded more than 200,000 square metres, while the villages of Poros and Lavara have already been evacuated. The damage caused so far has been estimated to amount to 7 million euros. The prefecture's railway network has been off for a fourth day, while the bridge connecting the villages of Elias and Fylakio has closed.
