[01] PASOK & SYN Walk out of Bipartisan Meeting on Security
PASOK (Panhellenic Socialist Movement) and SYN (Coalition of the
Radical Left) representatives walked out of the bipartisan meeting held
to discuss matters pertaining to public order. The PASOK and SYN
representatives dismissed the initiative for the bipartisan meeting as
ostensible, while the LAOS (Popular Orthodox Rally) said that there is
no point in holding such discussions. Deputy Interior Minister Christos
Markogiannakis, on his part, stressed that the government will keep up
its efforts for more security and order.
