    Crucial but stable is doctors' description of young policeman, Diamantis Mantzounis health state, who is being hospitalized at Red Cross Hospital intensive care ward. Diamantis was injured during a murder attack against a police patrol near Culture Ministry, in Exarhia, at dawn, on Monday. Meanwhile authorities continue investigations, which so far indicate that the attack was carried out by the " Revolutionary Struggle".

    Intensive Investigations Continue

    Antiterrorist police service continue investigations to locate the culprits of the coward attack against the three riot policemen while patrolling near the Culture Ministry ,on Monday.Investigations so far lead to the âRevolutionary Struggle" without they having sent a proclamation. However, one of the weapons used on Monday's murderous attack bears the organization's identity as it was the same in their attack against Nea Ionia police station in 2007 while the second weapon was used in the recent attack against a police bus in the National Technical University campus.Six people are facing public Prosecutor today, charged with illegal possession of weapons. Weapons and flammable material, used to produce Molotov bombs were found during searches of their houses and shops.

    [02] Weather Temporary Improvement

    Meteorological Service has forecast temporary improvement of weather as of Wednesday with rise in temperatures. However, a new cold front is approaching Greece with rainfalls, storms and snow on high ground. Motorists should be particularly careful during their return to Athens as snow chains are necessary in many parts of provincial and national road networks in 18 prefectures nationwide.

    Icy cold during the night in many parts of the country, in Serres temperatures dropped to -8C, in Drama -7C, Grevena -5C, Florina -4C, Kastoria -3C and Ioannina -2C. Due to heavy snowfall and icy roads, snow chains are necessary in many parts of provincial and national road networks in the following prefectures:Xanthi, Drama, Rodopi, Pella, Serres, Kilkis, Hemathia, Kastoria, Florina, Kozani, Ioannina, Larissa, karditsa,Fokida, Evritania, Fthiotida,Arkadia, Korinthia. Twenty villages in Karditsa are cut off.
