Based on Iraqi army sources, Reuters news agency reports that the attack had taken place on a checkpoint outside the Imam Moussa al-Kadhim shrine in the Kadhimiya area, where it is inhabited mostly by Shia. The victims were pilgrims. It is feared that the number of victims will rise.
