The circle of testimonies on Vatopedi case is completed today with the
testimony of Th. Roussopoulos. On Wednesday, plenum parliamentary
members rejected the list of witnesses suggested by PASOK that accused
the government of attempting to close the Committee and cover the
scandal. The president of the committee Christos Markogiannakis spoke
of a "fixed action" that targets at creating impressions. Yesterday,
former minister of Agricultural Development Evangelos Basiakos, deputy
minister of Finance Antonis Bezas as well as the minister of Finance
Petros Doukas testified.
In his testimony Petros Doukas said that all his actions are consistent
while he added that he has signed only official decision and
initiations by competent services.
