Among the issues to be touched on are those of governance and real estate distribution. The two sides have adopted a different approach to the origins of the federal state, which is to come into being after the Cyprus row is settled. Cypriot Government spokesman Stefanos Stefanou argued that the preparations on the governance issue made so far have created a basis for dialogue. A lot of work, however, is still needed and there is a long way ahead, he added. Christofias vowed that no Cypriot citizen, including himself, has intention of sounding a retreat to the occupation forces.
