The social insurance reform will enter its third and more crucial stage during the next days. As minister of employment revealed in ERT state TV station the governments main target is the financial sustainability of the system. In consequence, every employee will be supplied with a record number of social insurance the use of which will be obligatory from June 1st 2009. Ministry of employment estimates that tax evasion and deficits on medicines will minimize that way. The government completed on Friday the first stage of the administrative reform in the social insurance system with the unification of 23 funds merging in 5 big social insurance bodies. The second stage will start in October 1st when 133 categories of professions will merge to 13 main funds. In her statements in NET 105,8 radio station Mrs. Petralia said that there is not going to be a problem in the submission of pension and in the services of social insured citizens while she confronted the opposition partys accusations per non existence of studies before the merging. As per heavy professions, Mrs. Petralia stressed that the committee will hand over its report and proposition by the end of August, adding that the social reform proves that the government keeps its commitments.

[02] New Provocative Statements by Gruevski

Skopje Prime Minister Mr. Gruevski proceeded to new provocative statements speaking of the existence of a "Macedonian" issue and a "Macedonian" minority in his speech in the events for the national anniversary of FYROM, celebrated today. In his speech Mr. Gruevski stressed that "the essence of Democracy" lies in the respect of minorities, nations and cultural freedoms and rights of every citizen and every community. In this framework we will continue efforts for the protection of the rights of the Macedonian minority in our neighborhood, according to the national human rights and freedoms, which are indisputable and common to everybody. We will continue with the internationalization of the Macedonian issue addressing international organizations, all relative states and international communities", he stated. Mr. Gruevski also said that his country will continue working for his countrys entrance in NATO and the UN. "If Greece decides with blackmails and demonstration of power to shut the doors for us and our target for a long time, we, even under these conditions will continue working for the stability the financial and democratic development of our country", Mr. Gruevski concluded.

Turkish authorities proceeded to a new provocation interrupting a holly ceremony under Metropolitan bishop of Tamassos Isaias taking place in the grave of Apostle Varnavas near occupied Ammohostos and dismissing the Metropolitan bishop, Father superior Gabriel as well as all attendees.
