Security authorities have launched a manhunt while tens of suspects have been detained. Prime-minister Tayip Erdogan has indirectly blamed Kurish rebels for the blast and called the Turkish people who are concerned over liquidity in the political scene linked to a long-running power struggle between Turkeys secularist establishment and the Islamist-rooted AK Party- to keep their unity. In the meantime, the PKK (Kurdish Workers party) denies any involvement. In parallel, tension is high waiting for Supreme Court ruling on whether to shut down the ruling AKP party for Islamist activities.
