    Midsea Mishap Ends Well

    29 Ιουν 2008 10:24:0 (Last updated: 29 Ιουν 2008 11:09:0)

    By Vivian Papastefanou

Some of the 475 passengers of ship Theofilos that lived through a midsea mishap late on Saturday arrived at Piraeus safe and sound, while the rest are still on Chios Island. The accident took place at about 8.30 on Saturday night, when passenger ship Theofilos ran aground off the island of Oinousses and sustained a crack on its left side. The captain managed to head for the port of Oinousses, where the passengers disembarked. Some of the 97-member crew are still on board for safety reasons, while measures have been stepped up to avert sea pollution.
