    Skopje New Provocations

The Greek Foreign Ministry has strongly reacted to fresh Skopje provocations. Specifically, from Rome the archbishop of the so called "Macedonian Orthodox Church" brought up Thessaloniki issue in the presence of FYROM Prime-minister Gruevski! Greek Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyianni called on FYROM leadership to condemn the whole content of the archbishops speech. Specifically in her statements, Mrs. Bakoyianni stresses: The extremely provocative and absolutely unacceptable content of the speech in the presence of the neighbouring countrys Prime-minister reconfirms: firstly the rightness of Greeces arguments, stand and policy to insist on the necessity for a solution to name issue, secondly for as long as the name issue remains unresolved, it will serve as a tool and vehicle to express a preterit and unhistorical irredentism dangerous for regional cooperation and stability in the sensitive Balkan region and thirdly the neighbouring country can not look forward to a European and Euro-Atlantic future for as long as it remains in the captivity of past irredentism logic".
