"Greeces wish is to secure NATO presence (KFOR) as well as the presence of the European political power in Kosovo" the Prime Minister Kostas Karamanlis said from Brussels answering questions on Kosovo. "Greeces stances on Kosovo are known", he said stressing that Greece wishes the promotion of the European prospect of the whole region and especially Serbia. As per the recognition of Kosovo, Mr. Karamanlis said that Greece "has no reason at all to hurry" stressing that all parameters are to be taken into consideration. The focus lies on our national interests and all decisions will be taken accordingly.

[02] European Legislation on Climatic Changes

The leaders of European Union committed to adopt a new ambitious legislation on the treatment of climatic changes and promotion of alternative energy sources until May 2009. The Slovenian prime minister stated that the "27" adopted the dateline and the principles for the treatment of climatic changes and energy security, while Mr. Karamanlis expressed his satisfaction form the progress Greece has made regarding the treatment of climatic changes.

Well known archimandrite Iakovos Giosakis as well as another priest was blackmailed by a 36 years old who according to police threatened to release to public recorded tapes. The blackmailer asked 35.000 so as not to reveal Mr. Giosakis' detailed plan of the overthrow of Patriarch of Ierosolyma and his insulting comments for many priests. The two priests testified to Security Department of Police today. The 36 years old was arrested and it was proved that he had already received 40.000 from an agent-house woman to whom had presented himself as a son of a well known family asking from the woman to find him mansions to buy in order to settle down permanently to Greece. It must be noted that the man had recently been released from prison.
