Athens is to getting ready for marathon talks on the FYROM name row, as the issue is entering its most crucial stage. The timeline is pretty tight, as the problem should be settled in two months time. Greek Prime Minister Kostas Karamanlis and Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis discussed Saturday to steps to be taken in view of the latters meeting with US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice in Washington on coming Thursday. Athens has called on FYROM to abandon intransigence. The neighbouring country, however, does not seem willing to move towards this direction.
