[07] Winter storm problems gradually ending15/2/2004 8:14:00 μμMost of the major problems attributed to the recent winter snow-storm are centered in the regions of north-east Attica and Crete, which remains in a state of emergency. Primary and secondary schools will remain closed tomorrow in Eastern Attica, expect those in the municipality of Vouliagmeni, and in Western Attica schools located in Zefiri, Fyli and Ano Liosia. In addition, schools in Evia, the prefecture of Rethymno with the exception of Rethymno city and certain schools in Chania prefecture will also be closed tomorrow. Many regions throughout Attica remain without electricity and water due to over consumption, however water and electrical service will gradually be restored within the next few hours. All bus service is functioning according to schedule in Spata, Koropi, Anthousa, Ano Liosia and the Eleftherios Venizelos international airport while many roads still remain closed in certain parts of northeast Attica. Many flights have also been cancelled and travelers are urged to contact their airline prior to arriving at the airport.
