Greek authorities yesterday ordered the release of seven jailed anti-globalisation activists, including the five hunger strikers, after five months in prison, pending trial.(27/11/2003 9:17:00 μμ) [07] Israeli ambassador warns Syria not to support militantsAt a press conference in Athens today, the Israeli ambassador to Greece, Ram Aviram, warned Syria to withdraw its support from the militant Hamas and Jihad organizations before it is too late. In the wake of the recent terrorist attacks in Constantinople, the Israeli ambassador said he was satisfied with the security measures taken by Greece for the Olympics and expressed the view that the 2004 Games in Athens will be held without problems.(27/11/2003 9:21:00 μμ) [08] AIDS cases in Greece drop lower than EU averageData concerning the number of AIDS cases in Greece are very encouraging, as for the first time since 2000, the level is lower than the European average. In accordance with statistics released today, Health Minister Costas Stefanis said that Greece had 25 new cases and 243 HIV/AIDS carriers.
