The resolution calls on all the UN's member states to observe the Olympic Truce for the 2-week duration of the Games, in a revival of the ancient Olympic idea of a ceasefire.(4/11/2003 8:11:00 μμ) [03] Greek bishop'smeeting to decide relations with PatriarchateA crucial meeting of Greek Orthodox Church's metropolitan bishops is current in session, the outcome of which will decide the future of their relations with the Constantinople-based Ecumenical Patriarchate, following a recent dispute about jurisdiction over northern Greek dioceses. Also striking today are state hospital doctors, IKA doctors and ambulance personnel, while kindergartens, elementary schools and high schools were closed for the second day today, due to a 48-hour strike by teachers.
