Today, Prime Minister Simitis had a series of contacts with government officials and representatives of Northern Greece's Union of Industrialists.Among the proposed 1.3 billion euro in social measures are increases in salaries, pensions, unemployment and the appointment of permanent civil servant employees. Pakistani officials said seven females aged between 12 and 18 and a baby girl were killed in Pakistan's part of the disputed Himalayan region when Indian forces fired across aceasefire line on Sunday and Monday. In Indian Kashmir, where Muslim separatists have been fighting security forces since 1989, police said 11 people were killed in fresh clashes.
