(2/8/2003 11:58:00 נל) [04] MPs' transactions with the ASE cause disagreement between ND & PASOKDuring an interview with NET 105,8, Press Minister Christos Protopapas and New Democracy party Parliamentary representative Prokopis Pavlopoulos disagreed on the issue of opening the MPs' codes of their transactions with the Athens Stock Exchange.Mr Protopapas disagreed with New Democracy party leader Costas Karamanlis' proposal regarding the opening of codes under legislative regulations, stressing that no sanctions would be implemented to 23 PASOK MPs, who disagree with the proposed government reforms. From his side, Mr Pavlopoulos questioned the Press Minister's ability to exercise legal criticism and accused the leadership of the ministry of conscientiously trying to misinform everyone. Finally, Synaspismos party leader Nikos Constantopoulos said that the government had forgotten the real problems civilians are facing and just considers them as a sum of votes, calling at the same time all political parties in Parliament, the Euro Parliament and parties of the Left to fight for a proportional representation electoral system.
