    Sunny weather is forecast in all parts of the country, with scattered cloud in the north that may turn to isolated storms late in the afternoon, especially on high ground. Winds variable, light. In the north, temperatures will range from 19C to 34C; on the rest of the mainland from 21C to 37C; and in the islands from 23C to 35C. Temperatures in Athens between 24C and 37C; and in Thessaloniki between 23C and 33C.

    [02] Kenteris wins gold

    Costas Kenteris of Greece won the gold medal in the men's 200 metres at the European Athletics Championships in Munich on Friday, covering the distance in 19.85 seconds. It was the second best time ever recorded in Europe for the event.

    He also broke the competition record and the national record.

    Kenteris, 29, had also won the gold medal at the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000 and the gold medal in the World Athletics Championships in Edmonton in 2001.

    [04] Police continues its efforts for arrest of Koufodinas

    The police is continuing its efforts to arrest "November 17" member Dimitris Koufodinas. In tandem, it is examining at its laboratories all findings found at the organization&#8217;s hideouts.
