[02] Kos weaponry theft investigation -outcome to be announced

National Defence Minister Giannos Papantoniou is expected to make statements on the outcome of the investigations carried out in Kos for the arms theft and on the penalties to be inflicted.

At the same time, the police is intensifying its efforts in locating Dimitris Koufodinas, member of the terrorist organisation November 17.

All imprisoned members of "November 17" were allowed as of yesterday to have access to the brief and the Press, while in the coming days their cells will be supplied with radio and TV sets.

Referring to a two-page text sent to TV station ALTER yesterday officials of the Anti-terrorist Department stated that it was not a “November 17” propaganda sheet, since it did not carry the organization’s star but instead an indistinct fingerprint with ink on the bottom part of the second page.

The text states that it is a genuine "November 17" propaganda sheet since it bears the same fingerprint found on the organization’s first propaganda sheet that had been given through Zean Paul Sartre to the newspaper “Liberation”.
