The restoration of the Holy Sepulcher of the Jesus's tomb is an important message of coexistence in the Holy Land, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras on Wednesday said in Jerusalem.

The prime minister, the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and the Patriarch of Jerusalem Theophilos are visiting the Patriarchate of Jerusalem where the leader of the scientific team of NTUA professor Antonia Moropoulou presented the work.

[02] Debate on debt measures to open after technical agreement, gov't spokesman Tzanakopoulos says

After the technical agreement on the reforms by August 2018 and the change of policy mix for 2019, the way will open for the discussion on the medium term measures on the debt as well as the medium term primary surplus targets, government spokesman Dimitris Tzanakopoulos on Wednesday said in a press briefing.

He also stressed that the government will reach an overall agreement as soon as possible, even in April.

However, he explained that the Greek side is doing its best to achieve a sustainable comprehensive agreement, but the creditors need to respect the agreement signed with Greece based on the European Community law.

He also lashed out at main opposition New Democracy. As he said, it does not support the great negotiating effort to exit the crisis, but it accuses the Greek government of the delays undermining the course of the negotiation.

Moreover, he said that the government has the majority required by the Constitution for the conclusion of the programme review and that "according to the Greek Constitution, the creditors are not entitled to have a say."

[03] President Pavlopoulos: EU would never be the same without Greece

Greek President Prokopios Pavlopoulos on Wednesday stressed the importance of creating a firm front to coordinate our actions and promote the country's interests during the current critical times when we are faced with important challenges that will determine the long term future of Greece as well as of our great European Family in which Greece irrevocably belongs to.

Pavlopoulos was speaking to Greek Diaspora ahead of the anniversary of March 25 (Greek revolution against the Ottoman rule).

"I am referring to the European Union and in its hardcore, the eurozone," Pavlopoulos stated and added: "Greece cannot even imagine itself outside the European Union, but the European Union would never be the same without Greece."

[04] I don't accept insults against my country and the Greek people, says ND spokesman Kikilias

"I don't allow or accept from anyone to insult my country and my fellow-citizens" said main opposition New Democracy (ND) spokesman Vassilis Kikilias commenting on Eurogroup president Jeroen Djisselbloem's statements.

Speaking to STAR TV on Wednesday, Kikilias reiterated that ND will not vote the fiscal measures or offset measures underlining that the IMF denied that it had asked from ND to do so. "The existing pressure is on a government that has delayed and failed in the negotiations, probably the worst negotiation in history and has brought the country in a dire condition," said Kikilias.
