"Greece is a modern, pluralistic, European Democracy, in which the freedom of opinion and criticism to power is not negotiable, even though some people seek the opposite," main opposition New Democracy (ND) said in a statement on Tuesday.

"The fact is that from what Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has said over the last two years, he only means one thing: 'Do not read newspapers!' Quite simply because Mr. Tsipras and the SYRIZA - ANEL government are against the free and independent information and speak against whatever they cannot manipulate," according to the statement.
