  • [01] Athens Macedonian News Agency inaugurates WebDocs service

The Athens Macedonian News Agency inaugurated a new service, unique in Greece, which follows the innovative opportunities of the multimedia, the WebDocs.

The WebDocs are the most popular way of a telling story in Europe and in America. Its particularity is that it blends the place, picture, sound and text in an interactive form that offers the potential of a non linear reading. The user can surf in multiple ways in video, slideshow or to have the key role by following the proposed tours. He can return to the main menu anytime and select how to watch the context.

ANA's WebDocs covers all the sectors and reports on politics, society, tourism, health or international news. The service will operate according to the international standards of all the major new agencies (on demand).

Today (Wednesday), we inaugurate the service with a very timely documentary directed by ANA's journalist Giorgos Kouvaras titled: "The chased of the Mediterranean". The documentary presents the drama of the refugee crisis in the Mediterranean in the last few years, particularly after 2015 and focuses on the question how the European Union deals with the crisis.

The user can watch stories and interviews and to learn the corridors and routes of the refugee crisis and to understand the Coast Guard's efforts to rescue the people the traffickers abandoned on islets or threw in the water as well as the drama of those that had to bury their children and wives and to see the nameless graves in Mytilene's cemeteries. The user will be able to learn on the situation prevailing in the hotspots and the relocation procedure and to watch shocking photos shot by ANA's photographers of refugee children.

ANA offers this first web-documentary for free. Get informed on this new service by ANA's commercial department. You can download the video to a website or blog or wherever you want.

Just click on the blue image for full screen and surf with the help of arrows which will allow you to explore.
