The Greek President congratulated the parliament for the initiative that is held for a second consecutive year and addressing the children, he said: "The reception today in the temple of democracy is both essential and symbolic. Because we, the Greeks, understand the meaning of war and refugees."

"For us, if the war does not end, the refugee crisis will not come to an end," he added.

On his part, Paliament President Nikos Voutsis welcomed the children to the parliament noting that the parliament and its members will do whatever possible to feel that they are in a friendly environment.
