[01] ECB's decision to extend QE is 'good for Greece', ECB sources say
The European Central Bank (ECB) governing board's decision to extend the
ECB's quantitative easing programme until December 2017 is positive for
Greece, giving it additional time to enter the programme, ECB sources
told the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA) on Thursday.
Meeting in Frankfurt on Thursday, the ECB governing board decided to
extend the Public Sector Purchase Programme (PSPP) beyond March next
year, conducting an extra nine months of quantitative easing, but cut
bond purchases for 80 billion euros to 60 billion euros per month.
The monthly purchases limit will remain at 80 billion euros until
March 2017.
