[01] Government aims to raise 2.65 bln euros from this year's property tax
The unified property tax (ENFIA), which will be paid by 7 million
citizens, will start being posted on the online TAXIS platform on August
29, it was announced on Wednesday.
The government hopes to raise 2.65 billion euros in revenues, same as
in 2015, as the so-called "objective values" of properties were lowered
this year and farmland has been excluded from the tax. Taxpayers will
pay ENFIA in five installments with the first due at the end of September
and the last set for January 2017.

Gold medalist Katerina Stefanidi was given a raucous welcome by family
friends and fans as she arrived at Athens' International Airport on

The 26-year-old pole vault athlete told journalists she was "very happy
and pleased" with what she achieved in Rio and thanked her husband
Mitchell Krier. "We still have some competitions but we are really
looking forward to our holidays," she said adding that she did her best
and hoped for a medal.
"We wanted to come to Greece to see the people, see my family and my
