  • [01] PM Tsipras to visit frigate Adrias on Easter Sunday

    ANA/MPA---Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras accompanied by Defence Minister and Independent Greeks (ANEL) leader will visit on Easter Sunday the frigate "Adrias".

    Tsipras will exchange wishes with the officers and the crew of the Greek frigate.

    [02] Wishes have value when they are accompanied by actions, says ND leader Mitsotakis

    ANA/MPA---Main opposition New Democracy (ND) leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis in message for the Easter underlined that "wishes have value when they are accompanied by actions".

    Mitsotakis wished to "make a new start with stable expectations and real hopes with guide the truth and the unity".

    [03] 49 refugees rescued off Samos island on Saturday

    ANA/MPA---Greek Coast Guard located and rescued 49 refugees east of Samos island early Saturday.

    The refugees were transferred to the port of Vathi, Samos.

    [04] No metro and electric train in Athens on Sunday

    ANA/MPA---The Greek capital will remain without metro and electric train service on Easter due to a 24 hour strike called by the workers who protest against the new taxation and pension system.

    The workers request the immediate withdrawal of the 'guillotine bill' and for the start of negotiations for the new Collective Labour Contract.
