"Those who seek to promote political party interests from the failure of the negotiation will be disappointed," government sources said on Thursday adding that the program review will be concluded.

The same sources highlighted the intervention of the European Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker and the Italian president of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats Gianni Pittella on Wednesday.

Juncker said that the specific contingency measures demanded from Greece by its creditors are unreasonable and unconstitutional.

On his part, Pittella noted that the imposition of additional measures on Greece is a 'blackmail.'
