[01] Man found dead after car is swept away in flash floods
Rescuers on Sunday pulled out a dead man from inside a vehicle which
had fallen in a stream near Serres in northern Greece, during a downpour
on Saturday night.
The heavy rain flooded the region and formed rushing waters which swept
away the man's car, which had to be pulled out by a police crane.
The bad weather has affected many regions of Greece, including Athens,
where the fire department was called to clear roads from debris and
fallen trees.
