[01] Popular Unity leader Lafazanis receives third mandateANA/MPA---Popular Unity parliamentary group Panagiotis Lafazanis received on Monday the third and last mandate to form a government from President of Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos.Pavlopoulos said that the mandate is effective for three days and ends on Thursday 27 August. On his part, Lafazanis stated that "we will make use of the popular mandate to show that a consistent anti-memorandum government is needed in the country." Leaving the presidential mansion, Lafazanis sternly attacked the government saying that the recourse to the ballots with express procedures is an indication of an extreme anti-democratic attitude and constitutes an anti-democratic deviation. "We told the President of Republic not to contribute in express ballots. The President is not the government's representative. He gives account and is responsible before the Greek people." [02] State Minister: SYRIZA will succeed in getting parliamentary majorityANA-MPA---Minister of State Nikos Pappas on Monday speaking to Real FM expressed his expectation for a better elections result."It is obvious that by taking advantage of the problems that arose in SYRIZA and through the imminent elections, some parties of the old political system are trying to recover. This will have some repercussions which I believe will not be positive for the Greek people," he noted. Asked if he considers possible SYRIZA to have the parliamentary majority, he said: "Yes, I think it is possible because I believe that large parts of our people even people that did not vote for SYRIZA in the previous elections will make the choice of a clear solution and stability and this choice is SYRIZA [03] Boat with migrants capsizes in Aegean; two dead, unknown number of migrants missingANA/MPA---The bodies of two undocumented migrants were found in the sea region of Skala, Lesvos island. The migrants were on board a boat that capsized on Monday morning. Eight persons have been rescued and according to their testimonies at total of 15 individuals were in the boat. A super puma helicopter and a coast guard vessel are searching the area to locate the missing migrants.Additionally, 877 undocumented migrants and refugees were rescued in the last three days in 30 incidents that took place in the eastern Aegean.
