    ANA/MPA---Government sources said that Greece's aim in today's EU Summit is to send a political message to the European Central Bank (ECB) that Greece is heading to an agreement for a new support programme.

    The same sources said that in this way ECB will be able to immediately increase the liquidity to the Greek banks via ELA.

    Regarding the negotiations at the EU Summit that is underway, government sources noted that there is a battle is held over a series of issues.

    The same sources said that the situation was and is polarised in both the Eurogroup and the EU Summit with the state-members divided.

    Germany has a very tough stance against Greece while other countries as France, Italy and Ireland are completely in favour of Greece's remaining in the eurozone.
