[01] Austrian Chancellor: A Grexit would be extremely dangerous
ANA/MPA---Austrian Chancellor Werner Faymann said that "Greece's exit
from the eurozone would be linked with unpredictable side effects." I
can't predict the future but I clearly state to whoever speculates on
a Grexit that it is extremely dangerous" he noted in an interview to
the Sunday newspaper Real News.
Asked on if there are thoughts for a further extension of the programme
until September 2015 or March 2016, in case the negotiations are not
completed on time, Faymann noted that "the state-members' patience
is not limitless" and reminded that the programme was extended in the
beginning of 2015 adding that "it is time for both sides to agree on a
reforms map that will have sense".
On the possibility to accept Athens' request for a debt relief, the
Austrian Chancellor appeared positive to discussions for restructuring
"that will have sense".
