[01] Greek stocks remain under heavy selling pressure
ANA-MPA -- Greek stocks remained under heavy selling pressure for the
third successive session in the Athens Stock Exchange on Wednesday,
hit by a negative climate prevailing in the domestic bond market where
the three-year bond yield soared above 16 pct. Bank shares suffered
the heaviest blow, with the bank index down more than 20 pct one hour
before closing. The composite index was down 8.61 pct, the Large Cap
index dropped 10.68 pct and the Mid Cap index was down 6.89 pct.
