[01] Potami leader's public dialogue with citizens of Piraeus
ANA/MPA---Potami party leader Stavros Theodorakis on Thursday during
a public dialogue with Piraeus' citizens said that his party worries
the parties' mechanism because it gives a bad example to the people.
He said that the Uniform Real Estate Ownership Tax (ENFIA) needs to
undergo a radical reform.
Referring to the huge problem of unemployment he said that "Potami's
first priority is 'jobs, jobs, and jobs' via investments and not through
hirings in the public sector'.
On farming he said that "we must return to our farmland and grow products
that are popular and have a high price in Europe and support the groups
of local producers. If Greece does not take care of its land, it can't
be saved".
Finally, on the public debt he opined that the repayment period of
"the debt should be extended" noting that "SYRIZA's rationale that says
"I will go to Europe and demand a haircut or else I will leave" will
bring us before all the people of Europe. For this particular reason,
Potami will not participate in a coalition government unless persuaded
that we will not negotiate our remaining in the eurozone or in the EU".
