[01] SYRIZA's Central Committee approves Political Secretariat's policy
proposal
SYRIZA's Central Committee approved by majority the policy proposal of
the Political Secretariat, while it voted against an amendment by the
Leftist Platform to update the programme that was announced at the
Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF) with immediate measures that
"will affect the neoliberal structures of the system."
SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras, in an address shortly before the end
of the Central Committee's deliberations, underlined the need for
collective action and cooperation between officials and members from
all sides. Referring to cooperations and ballot tickets, he assured that
"everything will be done timely" and in line with the decisions of the
collective bodies of the party
