[01] Gov't spokeswoman Voultepsi on presidential elections; antiracism
ANA/MPA---Gïvernment spokeswoman Sofia Voultepsi on Monday said that
the government has not decided yet who will propose for President of
Republic referring to speculations that the government will propose
Democratic Left (DIMAR) leader Fotis Kouvelis for president.
"SYRIZA has set the issue with only aim to speed up the general
elections. We will not follow SYRIZA. We have our own agenda and we have
other priorities," Voultepsi told private radio VIMA adding that it is
very early to open the issue.
On the antiracism bill and the postponement of its tabling in parliament,
Voultepsi said that it will be tabled, discussed and voted next week
adding that "a series of amendments have been tabled and the Justice
Minister wants to examine them, something that I believe is correct
and democratic."
