He also urged for a timely plan to deal with possible natural gas shortages and asked that preventive measures be taken. He also called on the government to give back to natural gas consumers – as it has already announced – the significant amounts that natural gas corporation DEPA has received under an agreement reached last March with Russian Gazprom on the retrospective reduction of the natural gas prices. Athens is still on a recovery trend with a higher than 25 pct increase in July and 31 pct rise in the seven-month period and is apparently set to overcome the 2014 target of 750,000 additional arrivals.
