[01] Greek merchant shipping fleet down in numbers, up in volume
ANA/MPA--The Greek merchant shipping fleet fell 2.6 pct in August to
1,912 vessels compared with the same month last year, after a 3.1 pct
decline recorded in August 2012, Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT)
said on Wednesday.
The statistics service, in a report, said that total capacity of the
Greek merchant shipping fleet grew 0.9 pct in August, after a 2.0 pct
increase recorded in the same month last year.
