[01] Piraeus Bank completes share capital increase successfully
ANA/MPA--Piraeus Bank completed on Tuesday successfully its share
capital increase plan as part of the bank's recapitalization.
In an announcement Wednesday, the bank said that it raised private
capital of 1.455 billion euros, covering 19.83 percent of its goal of
7.335 billion euros.
The event will allow the bank to avoid issuing converticle bonds (CoCos).
A full report on the final coverage of the total recap will be published
on Friday, following checks by the bank's board of managers and the
Hellenic Financial Stability Fund.
