[01] SYRIZA on meeting between Greek, Turkish PMs
AMNA--The main opposition Radical Left Coalition (SYRIZA), in
an announcement on Monday's meeting between the prime ministers of
Greece and Turkey, stressed that it took place "in the framework of a
neoliberal environment, and not only, that governs the two countries,
since the Greek government also informed that the main issues in the
discussions are the economic relations of the two countries".amna
SYRIZA expresses its objections over the way with which Greek-Turkish
relations are being built, pointing out that "unfortunately these
relations are not determined by interstate agreements that lay the
foundations for the beneficial and mutual support of the two peoples,
on the contrary, big business groups as well as multinational companies
are examining the transformation of big regions in the two countries
(coast of Turkey and islands of the Aegean) into zones of special economic
exploitation on the basis of tourist 'growth'."
