The report will also include the findings of a BlackRock's report on the Greek banking sector. amnaThe release of the report on the capital needs of the four systemic banks in Greece (National Bank, Alpha Bank, Eurobank and Piraeus Bank) paves the way for completion of a share capital increase plan and the sale of Hellenic Postbank. The central bank, in its report, underlines that the capital needs of the four systemic banks will be covered by funds already provided by a memorandum signed with the country's creditors and notes that Greek authorities had earmarked an extra security sum of 5.0 billion euros, which, following a Greek bond buyback programme, was reduced by 1.5 billion euros. The Bank of Greece concludes that the four banks' capital needs did not diverge from figures included in the banks' nine-month financial results.
