    [02] Strong explosion outside building housing Chryssi Avghi offices

    AMNA--A powerful explosion was reported at 4:00 on Tuesday outside a building in the southern Athens suburb of Aspropyrgos housing offices of the ultra-right Chryssi Avghi (Golden Dawn) party, causing extensive damage.

    The perpetrators planted a makeshift explosive device at the main entrance of the two-storey building. A wall collapsed from the explosion and the door of the Chryssi Avghi office on the first floor was demolished. Damage was also reported in a shop housed in the building's basement as well as in other nearby shops.amna

    Police are investigating the area in order to collect evidence and remnants of the explosive device.

    [03] Illegal fuel trade case cracked by financial crimes police

    AMNA--A major illegal fuel trade case was reportedly uncovered by the financial crimes police after an investigation involving phone-tapping and evidence gathering that led to several organised gangs, mostly active in the western Attica region, it was announced on Monday.

    A police operation was in progress on Monday morning for the arrest of at least 16 individuals involved. A total of eight people are already in police custody, among them three individuals arrested for similar cases in the past. amna

    Based on the evidence collected during the past year since the investigation was launched, the unpaid tariffs and taxes to the state as a result of the gang's illegal transactions are estimated at four million euros.

    [04] Christmas 'Dreamland' in Drama

    AMNA--Christmas 'Oniroupolis' (Dreamland) of Drama, northeastern Greece, will open on Tuesday 4 December and will run through Jan. 5, 2013.

    More than 200 different events and activities, among them concerts, theatrical productions, creative workshops and puppet theatre, will be hosted in the Dreamland.amna

    This is the ninth consecutive year that Drama is hosting the annual Dreamland, which is considered one of the largest Christmas fests held in Greece.
