[01] Local banks cut dependency on emergency fund in June
AMNA / Greek banks significantly cut their dependence from the Bank of
Greece's Emergency Liquidity Assistance facility to 61.9 billion euros
in June, down from 124 billion euros in May.
The central bank, in a report, said a decision by the European Central
Bank to stop accepting Greek bonds as collateral in May technically
inflated Greek banks' borrowing from ELA and noted that the situation
returned to more normal operations in June, when the ECB returned to
the previous status of funding Greek financial institutions by accepting
