[01] IMF chief says updating of Memorandum 'step-by-step'Brussels (AMNA/M. Aroni) -- The Eurogroup on Thursday gave the green light for the disbursement of one billion euros to Greece from the previous tranche of the EU/IMF bailout loan to Greece by the end of June, while International Monetary Fund (IMF) chief Christine Lagarde said that eurozone negotiations with Greece for updating the Memorandum will proceed "step by step".During a press conference after the meeting, and replying to whether more time will be given to Greece, the IMF managing director Christine Lagarde said that the 'Troika' (European Commission, European Central Bank and INF) chiefs will arrive in Athens on Monday, June 25, to assess the economic situation and progress in the implementation of the adjustment programme.amna "We must first see what has been done and what has not, speak with the Greek authorities and brief the Eurogroup, before we decide anything. Step-by-step," Lagarde said, noting that the Troika hasn't visited Athens since March.amna European Commission for economic and monetary affairs Olli Rehn said in turn that the Eurogroup did not discuss in detail the revision of the programme which, he added, will depend on the Troika's review "and then we'll see". [02] New roof structure at 'Palace of Nestor' siteAMNA--The regional governor of Peloponnese on Thursday approved a 3.1-million-euro project to erect a state-of-the-art roof over the Mycenaean-era palace complex at Pylos, in Messénia prefecture of the southwest Peloponnese.The archaeological site is popularly known as "the Palace of Nestor", after the wise mythical king of Pylos in Homer's Iliad. The structure will be designed to protect and highlight an archaeological site of roughly 2,500 square meters. áìíá The Mycenaean-era palace, located on the levelled peak of a hill known as Ano Eglianos, near the modern-day village Chora, flourished in the 13th century BC.
